SUBJECT: The Drop Racing Federation.
The DRF (Drop Racing Federation) is the most prestigious sporting federation in the galaxy, with a viewership of over 200 billion viewers every week; it is well respected as the greatest sport ever made. The logistics and technology that go into the DRC (Drop Racing Centre) and the race teams innovate in ways that change the trajectory of the galaxy forever.
The race consists of 12 pilots and their drop ships, falling from the thermosphere and accelerating to sea level as they contest one another for first place. High G’s and immense speed are what the galaxy loves to see and every crash sends ripples of attention and engagement through The Stream.
- Collisions are legal.
- Augmenting pilots is legal.
- Utilising anti-gravity technology is illegal.
The DRF used to host Drop Races over major cities until a Drop Ship fell off course and crashed amongst one of the city centres. This nearly reduced their entire public appeal, but financial assistance to the families that suffered and rebuilding the city slowly led the general public to forget the incident.
